Kyra Minturn
Kyra Minturn, who was born August 19 1965 is an American actress. She is also an actor and producer. She is best known for her role as the Deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson in the TNT crime drama The Closer. Sedgwick was honored with the Golden Globe Award and an Emmy Award for her portrayal as Johnson in 2007. The series ended on August 13th, 2012 following the completion of the seventh season. Sedgwick is also well-known for her role in the show in the role of Madeline Wuntch on the sitcom Brooklyn Nine-Nine. Sedgwick was nominated for the Golden Globe award in 1995 for her performance in Something to Talk About. Sedgwick's other roles in films include Oliver Stone's Born of the Fourth of July (1989) and Cameron Crowe's The Ones (1992), Heart and Souls-1993), Phenomenon (1996), What's cooking (2000) and Secondhand Lions (2003). The Game Plan (2007) and The Possession (2013). Sedgwick was born New York City to Patricia Rosenwald (nee Rosenwald), who works as a speech/family therapist, and Henry Dwight Sedgwick who is a venture capitalist. Her mother, who was Jewish, was of English and Episcopalian heritage. Sedgwick has stated that she is Jewish and has stated that she attends Passover seders.
